If I say "Right to Life" and do nothing about the 100,000 children in my state that need to be adopted then I am a hypocrite. There are children out there that are third generation wards of the state. Their mothers were never adopted. Their grandmothers were never adopted. If we are great Catholics there would be no Foster Care. We would adopt each child as our own. The only holy position against Pro-Choice is to go and get a teenager and adopt them. Do something about it! Hospitals have historically gone bankrupt with high risk pregnancies from mothers without the resources to protect themselves and receive adequate pre and post natal care. Come on America. Each one teach one. This is not a political question. It is a "one, holy, apostolic church" can adopt issue! "One church, one child", PLEASE!

"The belief that God will do everything for man is as untenable as the belief that man can do everything for himself.  It too, is based on a lack of faith. We must learn that to expect God to do everything while we do nothing is not faith, but superstition."

- Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Be ashamed to die until you've won some victory for humanity."

Comments to HBO and Bill Maher regarding Regina Benjamin, MD, MBA

Comments to Bill Maher and HBO:

Regarding our newly appointed (BBW)  Surgeon General of the United States:  "Dr. Benjamin attended Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans where she was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is also a member of the second class of the Morehouse School of Medicine. She received her M.D. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her residency in family practice at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. After entering solo practice in Bayou La Batre, Dr. Benjamin worked for several years in emergency rooms and nursing homes to keep her practice open. After receiving an MBA from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, she converted her office to a rural health clinic."

I am a fan but,  Bill Maher was very rude to Dr. Benjamin in his comments regarding her weight in his broadcast 9/18/09. Failing to mention that she is a Macarthur genius. She was overweight when she received her M.D., overweight when she received her MBA, overweight when she was invited to become a member of the National Panhellenic Council and numerous other intellectual achievements. If exercise programs produced such marvelous achievers your comment about her weight would be relevant. You seem to want to ignor tribes that don't own your perception of biology. That's ridiculous. Obviously when she wasn't in a GYM she was saving lives, studying and helping others (I'm sure the people whose lives were saved in her emergency room are happy she was not at a gym). Are you getting it that 50% of professional athletes don't live long enough to collect their pension? I just think you are inappropriate. Get back to me when the word "fit" means you can accomplish as much as Dr. Benjamin!

The lion is only king of the jungle until he faces an elephant.

It is a "fit" thing to do to pass this information on to people who need to use the word "scholar" as often as they use the word "fit."

"We the people" decide that everything we do will be for the greater good. I think, we have to do away with careless and trashy talk.  We must encourage a better vocabulary.  We must speak love into our world constantly.  We must support our "players" in good field position without personal judgement.  We have to get a job done.  Our campaign must be that of spirit and faith, the prayer warriors from all backgrounds must stand together!  Hook it up! Spirit and faith are sometimes like Lorek Byrnison promising Lyra Belacqua after she reads the Golden Compass and reveals something that was hidden from him: "I will serve you in your campaign until I am dead or you have victory!"   This is the uniting of spirit and faith.  This our campaign.  Our religion is kindness and support for every soldier who must fight evil in the spirit and in the flesh.  We stand together in spirit and in faith and we speak life and love into all the world. NOW and always.  "We the People" just show them how to love and do things right.  Those standing on the side of righteousness will love back until we are certain of fulfilling the promise of victory.  When you look at the history reminders in Black History Month, just impress upon your world how much we get done for the greater good of all people when we unite and we decide to reach out, lift up and go to court (Thank you Thurgood Marshall).  If it is speculation that throughout history the people now known as the" rainbow coalition" built the world, then it is without a doubt that we can rebuild it...  let's do it!  Everybody has to participate.  "We are the World."
